RHA lead a design team in the preparation of Preliminary Planning and Construction Documents for a 16 acre youth sports complex in Irwindale.  The site design included 1 lighted baseball field, 1 lighted football/soccer field, 3 softball/baseball fields, restroom building, 4 lighted full court basketball, playground, drought-tolerant native planting, central courtyard with fountain, 5 portable buildings converted to offices and program rooms, and on-site parking for 163 cars.  All storm drain water was designed to be held in subterranean drainage vaults for percolation back into the water table.  A state of the art sewer filtration system was installed to clean the effluent water prior to passage into the sewer leach fields. The site serves the youth sports programs of Kare Youth League and is also available for rent for residents in the greater San Gabriel Valley and beyond.  The design process included meetings with the city and Kare Youth League staff and coaches.
